What we collect

When you use SayEvent, we collect your name, email address, and information related to your orders or events.

We may also collect limited usage data, such as pages visited or actions performed, to operate and improve the Service.

We do not store credit card numbers — payments are handled entirely by Stripe.

How we use it

Your data is used to provide the Service: creating accounts, processing ticket orders, issuing tickets, and paying out organisers.

When you purchase a ticket, the event organiser acts as an independent data controller for your data. Your name and email are shared with them for event management purposes.

We also use data to maintain security, prevent fraud, improve the platform, and measure performance.

Legal basis

We process your data to:

  • perform our contract (ticketing services)
  • comply with legal obligations
  • ensure platform security and prevent fraud
  • improve the Service (legitimate interest)
  • where applicable, based on your consent (analytics and advertising technologies)

Data sharing

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the Service, including:

  • Stripe (payments)
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Analytics or advertising tools (where enabled)
  • Some data may be transferred outside the European Union under appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

Storage

Data is stored within the European Union.

  • Transaction records are kept for 5 years.
  • Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time by emailing hi@sayevent.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority).

Cookies & tracking

We use essential cookies required for the website and checkout to function properly, such as login sessions and cart management.

We may also use analytics and advertising technologies to understand usage and improve our marketing. These are only enabled with your consent.

You can accept, refuse, or withdraw your consent at any time through our cookie settings.

SayEvent strives to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on the website but cannot guarantee it is always complete or up to date.

Use of the service is at your own risk.
